In a back and forth game, a couple late miscues led to a 27-20 defeat for the Varsity Football Program against Jupiter.
“I’m so proud of our effort and heart,” said Head Coach Rod Harris.
“We’ve continued to make improvements. This is such a young group and it shows at times but their effort is amazing and I’m proud of our senior leadership and the continued growth that the young guys have shown.”
The Tigers struck first on a 79-yard connection from Jaxon Scott to Jerome Hutchinson.
Scott also threw touchdown passes to Amarion Brown (23 yards) and Augie Lovelace (39 yards). Lovelace also blocked two extra point attempts.
Chris Delucia had a recovery of a forced fumble by Jake Leclaire and Jude Pierrelus added an interception on defense.
All four of the Tigers’ games this season have been one score games.
The Tigers return home Friday Night, September 13th, as they open up district play against Seminole Ridge. Kickoff is slated fro 7 pm.
