Joe Conner saw the opportunity to coach at Martin County High School as “an opportunity that had to be taken.”
Conner said he is looking maximize the exposure for the Martin County High School Team while also helping to help grow lacrosse in the region.
Conner has had college coaching stops at Gettysburg College, Clemson University, and The University of Miami, along with several high schools, most recently Columbus High School.
“I want to use my connections to help as many student-athletes play at the next level while teaching them the importance of academics in setting themselves up in life,” said Conner.
Athletic Director Mark Cowles said, ‘It was his vision for lacrosse in the big picture that excited us about bringing Coach Conner to Martin County along with his understanding of what it means to be a student-athlete at our school.”
Conner will hold a meeting on Wednesday, August 9th in the Martin County High School Cafeteria for players and parents. The meeting will begin at 6 pm.
